Mapping
Producing accurate and high quality mapping is an integral part of ecological consultancy. Our experienced mapping team use the latest Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software to produce high quality full colour maps to support our technical reports. Where appropriate, we also use handheld mapping devices to record ecological data in the field for subsequent upload to our GIS database. This enables us to produce highly accurate outputs.
Our GIS team can also produce bespoke figures to support your specific project requirements. For example, we can create ecological constraints and opportunities plans (ECOPs) to identify areas of your site with high, medium and low ecological constraints using a traffic light system. Focusing development in areas with low ecological value can result in time and budget savings to your project.
